Frequently Asked Questions

If I pre-order now, when will it arrive?

Orders placed now will ship in June 2020.

What does, "limited" pre-order mean?

The initial batch will be limited to several hundred units. Based on demand, we may be able to increase this number, but shipment dates may move out. The best chance to secure your Studio MIDI guitar in a timely fashion is to participate in the pre-order now.

Can I cancel my pre-order and get a refund?

Yes, you are entitled to a full refund of your pre-order anytime before we ship. We may be limited to refund your specific payment method beyond 60 days, but will ensure you get your money back. We do recommend canceling your order by emailing support@jamstik.com within this time-frame to simplify this process.

Is the new Studio MIDI Guitar available left-handed?

We're gauging interest in mass production of a lefty model, so please join our waitlist if you have a have intent of purchasing and we'll let you know first when they are available.

There are already synth modules and pedals out there, why do I need this?

While there are many great options for instrument effects and modulation in analog live or recording environments, the Studio MIDI can control a vast variety of MIDI instruments and record note data digitally so it can be later modified, edited and assigned to different instrument patches.

Why is it called the Studio?

On top of it's groundbreaking versatility, the Studio's compact size makes it a great fit for maneuvering around the ever-cluttered studio desktop & production space. The name Studio implies the place where an artist creates his or her gifts to the world, be it art, sculpture, music or other. It is our hope that our creation, the Jamstik Studio, is embraced by musicians and inspires them to further excel in their art form.

Who is the target audience?

There are many unique audiences and use-cases for this product—whether you're a guitarist familiar with or interested in digital music production, a music producer with a guitar background, songwriters and travelers in need of a compact and versatile guitar for the road, composers and transcribers looking for an intuitive format to input MIDI, or a beginner who wants to have the versatility of a hybrid guitar to use for learning and music production.
